New Certificate in decontamination practice level 3 launched

Eastwood Park has announced a new work-based certificate in the decontamination of reusable medical instruments.

Confident this new certificate addresses the gap created by the discontinuation of the NVQ level 3 in health (decontamination) Eastwood Park believes it provides a good start for anyone transferring to the new QCF qualification at a later date.

The certificate is appropriate for technicians and supervisors in the decontamination area and enables them to obtain an appropriate accreditation proving competence in their roles.  It also helps develop additional skills, knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the decontamination cycle.

The qualification is Edexcel accredited with a BTEC certificate awarded to all successful candidates.  It can be undertaken at the candidate’s own pace, however, on average it is likely to be completed within 7 months.  For further information and course details visit eastwoodpark.co.uk/training or call 01454 262777.
